When you look into someone’s eyes, you get a small glimpse into the human spirit and search for connection.  It is a raw and vulnerable moment in time that reflects the common face of humanity.  Emma is inspired by the human form and how we are all uniquely different yet the same, finding beauty and complexity within faces and objects.  Capturing modern-day people in traditional portraiture is both timeless and innovative, a way to connect the old with the new. It builds upon the foundations of the past while pushing the boundaries of the present. Her work in its entirety is an intense perceptual study of the mosaic of what it means to be human with a goal to inspire those who see her art to stop, feel and wonder.
